Chinese Chicken Salad

chicken breasts, boneless and skinless

wontons, cut into thirds

1 head

lettuce; romaine, green leaf or iceberg

11 ozs

mandarin oranges, drained

8 ozs

water chestnuts, sliced and drained

4 ozs

slivered almonds

1/4 c

sesame seeds

1 bunch

green onions

4 Ts

sugar

1 t

salt

1/4 t

black pepper

4 Ts

white wine vinegar

1/2 c

vegetable oil


NOTES

  • I hardly ever make the wontons, too time consuming but good. I often leave out the chestnuts because I forget them. I use less sesame seeds because my kids don't love them.
