extra lean ground beef

medium yellow onion, finely chopped

garlic cloves, minced

cornstarch

1/4 cup

dry red wine

1 cup

beef broth (I use OXO Beef and I use 2 small packages (4.5 grams each) per 1 cup of water)

medium carrots, peeled and chopped into small pieces (around 5 cm)

1 cup

fresh, canned or frozen peas

2 tbsp

Worcestershire sauce

!Potatoes:

large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters

dried bay leaves (optional)

salt

unsalted butter
