We love the pizza benders at Italian Village and this homemade version is so much better! The sauce is a must but we will cut back on the sugar next time by half. And plan on more time to prep the dough than it calls for. We made extra for later this week because everyone loved them.
We really liked these! The homemade dough is definitely worth the little bit of extra effort and the sauce is delicious! One embellishment we have tried and liked is brushing garlic butter onto them before and/or after baking. Yum!!!
Tasty. Sauce was delicious and the dough was a good texture. Quick to rise on a summer day. Toppings included sausage, pepperoni and grilled onions.
