virgin coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil

yellow bell pepper (red or orange are also good choices)

1/2 tsp

whole cumin seeds

1/2 tsp

dark chili powder

cooked lentils (all of the lentils)

2 tbsp

balsamic vinegar

crushed tomatoes

3/4 cup

tomato sauce (any low sugar variety works)

1 tbsp

maple syrup

cinnamon

crushed dried oregano

salt and black pepper
