milk (any kind you like)

salt (I like things salty and use 1/2 teaspoon)

cream cheese or neufchatel cheese
1 cup
grated Pecorino Romano or Parmesan, plus more for sprinkling on top
3 tbsp
chopped fresh parsley, optional
freshly ground pepper, optional
