Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Chicken

boneless (skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized 1” cubes)

cornstarch (or arrowroot powder for Paleo friendly version (USE 3 tablespoons for an extra crispy coating))

1/4 tsp

black pepper

Cooking oil

pineapple chunks

sweet bell peppers (I used 1 red, 1 green, deseeded and cut into 1)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

1/3 cup

low sodium soy sauce (use gluten free Tamari or coconut aminos for paleo version])

1/4 cup

chicken broth

3 tbsp

tomato paste or ketchup

3 tbsp

honey or brown sugar

1 1/2 tbsp

rice vinegar

2 tsp

oyster sauce

1 tsp

dark soy sauce (leave out if you can't find this)

sesame oil
