apple cider

1/4 cup

brown sugar, packed

1 tsp

ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp

ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp

ground allspice (ground cloves could be substituted or added too)

6 tbsp

salted butter (I think a bit of salt is nice, but if you'd like unsalted is fine too.)

2 cups

(more or less) dark rum
