Coconut Cream Cake

1/3 cup

Egg whites

Egg yolks, large

3 1/4 cups

All-purpose flour

1 tbsp

Baking powder

1/4 tsp

Baking soda

9 cups

Confectioners' sugar

1 1/2 cups

Granulated sugar

1 tsp

Salt

2 tbsp

Vanilla extract, pure

1/4 cup

Canola oil

2 tbsp

Coconut flakes, sweetened

1 15 ounce can

Cream of coconut, sweetened

3 1/4 cups

Butter, unsalted

1 cup

Buttermilk


NOTES

  • Butter is split!!!!! Do not melt all the butter and do not add all at the beginning. I just ruined my whole cake! Note to creator - in this app when you turn it sideways it does not include your original measurements for frosting and and the cake. I would indicate in the directions to set aside some of the butter for the frosting.
