Five-Minute Homemade Salsa

INGREDIENTS

28 oz

can whole tomatoes (, drained)

2 cans

diced tomatoes with green chiles ((each can is 10 ounces), I use Rotel brand, undrained)

1/2 cup

fresh cilantro

1/4 cup

onion (chopped, I use sweet onion but red would also work well)

1 1/2 tbsp

fresh lime juice ((about 1 large lime))

1 clove

garlic (, minced)

1/2 tsp

ground cumin

1/2 tsp

sea salt (, or more, to taste)

granulated sugar

2 tsp

canned jalapeño pepper (OPTIONAL, for hotter salsa (or use fresh).)
