Oven Grilled Bacon Wrapped Chicken Skewers

1 lb

boneless skinless chicken breasts, (cut up into 1 inch to 1-1/2 inch pieces)

1/2 tbsp

olive oil

salt and fresh ground pepper, (to taste)

1/4 tsp

smoked or sweet paprika

1/8 tsp

cayenne pepper

1/4 tsp

garlic powder

1/4 tsp

onion powder

1/4 tsp

dried thyme

1/4 tsp

dried basil

to 12 bacon slices, (cut in half, crosswise)

to 6 grilling skewers ((I use metal skewers for the oven, but if you use wooden skewers, please soak them in water for 15 minutes prior to adding the chicken to the skewers.))
