all purpose flour (The amount of flour used will vary based on your area. Since it is very dry where I live, I only use 5.5 cups of flour. )
3 tbsp
sugar
1 tbsp
salt
2 tbsp
shortening
4 1/2 tsp
regular or quick active dry yeast (I use SAF-INSTANT)
2 1/4 cups
very warm water (If water is too hot, it will kill yeast. See tips)
