Strawberry Tart from "Made With Love"

finely chopped pecans

graham cracker crumbs (about 16 crackers)

1/4 cup

packed light brown sugar

unsalted butter, melted

large egg yolks

6 tbsp

granulated sugar

3 tbsp

cornstarch

1/4 tsp

fine sea salt

2 cups

whole milk

1 tsp

pure vanilla extract

2 1/2 tbsp

unsalted butter, cut into cubes, at room temperature

1/4 cup

strawberry preserves

2 lb

strawberries, hulled and sliced in half (I left mine whole)
