/ 60 mls melted and liquid coconut oil, or ¼ cup (4 tablespoons) of natural nut butter (, be sure to use refined coconut oil if you want no hint of coconut flavour)

1/2 cup

/ 55 g sugar (, white, brown, coconut, any will do)

1 tbsp

blackstrap molasses

1/2 tsp

salt

2 cups

/ 230 g g spelt flour (, or all purpose flour (plain in the UK), or half all purpose, half whole wheat flour)

baking powder

1/2 cup

/ 85 g chocolate chips (, plus a few more for sprinkling)
