medium banana (frozen banana works best, peel and freeze ahead of time)

fresh spinach
1/4 tsp
pure peppermint extract or 1 mint leaf

ice cubes
3/4 cup
unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp
coconut nectar or honey (for non-vegan)
1 tbsp
dairy-free chopped dark chocolate
Optional: 2 tablespoons melted dark chocolate to create the chocolate swirl on the glass and on the top of the smoothie.
