INGREDIENTS

OATMEAL CRUMBLE:

1 cup

old fashioned oats

1 cup

all-purpose flour

3 tbsp

sugar

1/2 cup

brown sugar

1/4 tsp

salt

1/2 tsp

cinnamon

1 pinch

nutmeg

1/2 cup

butter very softened (not melted)

BERRY COBBLER CAKE:

egg whites + 1 whole egg, room temperature

1/3 cup

vegetable oil

2 tsp

vanilla

1 tbsp

vanilla bean paste

1/2 tsp

almond extract

2/3 cup

sour cream, room temperature

3/4 cup

buttermilk, room temperature

white cake mix (Duncan Hines is what I prefer, but any should be similar)

1 1/2 cups

fresh berries, (I usually slice the blackberries in half) tossed in ¼ cup flour to evenly coat

BERRY COMPOTE FILLING

1 1/2 cups

mixed berries (1/2 cup of raspberries, ½ cup blueberries, ½ cup blackberries)

1 tbsp

lemon juice

1/4 cup

sugar

3/4 cup

water

2 tbsp

cornstarch

CINNAMON SPICED VANILLA BEAN BUTTERCREAM

3 sticks

unsalted butter (1½ cups)

salt

1 tsp

vanilla

1 tbsp

vanilla bean paste

1/2

teaspoon-1 teaspoon cinnamon (depends on how much you'd like to taste)

1/4 cup

heavy cream + more if needed

5 cups

powdered sugar, sifted
