Deep-Dish, Single-Lady, Salted Whole Wheat Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie

coconut oil ((or butter, or any neutral oil))

1 tbsp

brown sugar (, coconut sugar or cane sugar (make sure it's vegan if you need to))

1 tbsp

maple syrup ((the real, good stuff por favor))

1/4 tsp

vanilla extract

1/8 tsp

fleur de sel/kosher salt/ maldon ((plus more for sprinkling) (you can use regular salt in the dough too, just don't sprinkle it on top and use a little less))

1/8 tsp

baking powder

2 tbsp

+ 2 tsp white whole wheat (, whole wheat or all purpose flour)

to 2 tbsp chocolate chips or chopped chocolate ((vegan if needed. I go for 70% upwards because I LOVE bittersweet chocolate!))
