FOR THE COOKIES:

unsalted butter, room temperature (2 sticks)
1 cup
light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup
granulated sugar

large eggs, room temperature
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract
FOR THE ICING:
3 tbsp
heavy cream
2 tbsp
warm water
2 cups
confectioners' sugar
(you may substitute milk for the cream - start with 3 tablespoons then add more milk if needed)
