INGREDIENTS

1 serving

mexican dinner. it wasn't uncommon when i was younger

1 serving

sourdough surprises picked flatbreads

1 serving

there was no doubt in my mind that i had to make tortillas

1 serving

many-days process. first and foremost

1 serving

time to re-season my grandmother's cast iron pan

1 cup

benefits - but it sat in the back of the board

1 serving

how long). then the two day process of making tortillas

1 serving

dough when i made it. a day later

1 serving

hardly handle it. perhaps because i used regular flour

1 serving

day off to make dinner and try them! it was tough - i was looking

1 serving

forward to a mexican meal

1 serving

sourdough tortillas

1 serving

adapted very slightly from grain mill wagon

3 cups

flour

3/4 cup

water

3/4 cup

sourdough starter

1/4 cup

olive oil

1 pinch

salt

1 serving

step one: combine the water

1 serving

food processor. keep adding flour

1 serving

to the sides of the mixer. once you get the dough to a

1 serving

to a well-oiled bowl

1 serving

step two: when you're ready to cook up your tortillas

1 serving

cooking pan to

1 medium

high heat. i don't bother

1 serving

multiple tortillas going at the same time - it helps to speed up

1 serving

the process

1 serving

step two: remove the dough from the bowl and transfer onto a

1 serving

greased surface. gently divide the dough into walnut sized

1 serving

step four: grease your hands

1 serving

the dough out into a tortilla. i suppose you could use a

1 serving

fine. sure

1 serving

step five: after rolling out the tortilla

1 serving

carefully move it to the skillet. cook it

1 serving

cool them off and store them in the fridge or

1 serving

easily and even stay soft. yay

1 serving

little chicken breast

1 serving

seasoning

30

jelly sandwich on one

1 serving

tortillas again anytime soon - my family still eats at mexican

1 serving

restaurants enough that it doesn't make sense to make a mexican

1 serving

dinner at home. but i'm glad i did

1 serving

check out our other awesome flatbreads

1 serving

it's

1 serving

three days a week. so

1 serving

course

1 serving

finally

1 serving

this one wasn't an easy one. for

3 cups

starters

1 serving

at least one of my taste testers dislikes products)

1 serving

i managed

1 serving

so that was another plus. and then i had to wait until i had another

1 ball

slowly

1 ball

form

1 serving

don't have a mixer

1 can

griddle. i like to use my griddle so that i have

1 balls

1 serving

working

1 serving

greased rolling pin

1 serving

okay! it's

1 serving

seconds

1 can

step six: you either eat

1 serving

freezer

1 serving

tacos - just a tad too

1 serving

picture.)

1 serving

i can't say i'm going to make

1 serving

now i just need another day off to

1 serving

spend in the kitchen
