For the Chicken:

For the Marinade/basting sauce:

fresh jalapeno, ribs & seeds removed, diced

chili powder (I prefer Penzey’s Chili 3000)

crushed red pepper flakes

dark brown sugar

extra virgin olive oil

soy sauce

fresh limejuice (juice from 1 lime)
