INGREDIENTS

plus 5 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 tbsp
cornflour /corn starch
both flours sifted from a height at least 2 times and mixed well
1 cup
thick yogurt/curd not buttermilk
3/4 cup
sugar (i have used raw sugar use any granulated sugar)
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 3/8
th teaspoon baking powder i.e 1 teaspoon plus a pinch of baking powder
1/2 cup
flavorless oil/ canola oil
1 tsp
vanilla essence
1/4 tsp
butter essence (optional use for buttery taste)
1/2 tsp
salt (or add according to your taste)
2 tbsp
water . (add only if the batter is too thick - as thickness of yogurt varies for everyone)
