Lace for Days Skirt

yards of fabric. i used a cream sateen fabric

approx yards of lace. but this will depend on how long your skirt is

pencil skirt that fits to use

cut out the front and back of your skirt

remember to cut of the waistband pieces 1" longer than the other two

now take the front and back skirt and place them right sides together. pin up the sides

make sure to switch to a basting stitch when you get to the section where your zipper will be placed

take a deep breath and insert your zipper. remember this tutorial i linked to when making the pinwheel skirt? i still watch it every time i sew in a zipper

pin your lace on loosely before you cut it to give you an idea of what you want the spacing of the lace to look like

note: when sewing up the side seams of your lace

pin as close together as you and sew the lace onto the zipper flaps
