kidney beans (rinsed and drained)

liquid smoke ((optional))

brown sugar

chili powder

1 1/2 tsp

EACH smoked paprika, ground cumin

1/2 tsp

dried oregano

1/4 tsp

cayenne pepper ((optional))

reduced sodium chicken broth

3 cups

uncooked elbow macaroni ((about 12 oz))

softened cream cheese, cubed (I use low fat)

1 cup

freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese (to taste)

sour cream

fresh parsley
