small apple, peeled and chopped (I like using Granny Smith for its tartness)

1/4 tsp

cinnamon or apple pie spice

2 tsp

raisins or chopped Deglet Noor dates

1 tbsp

walnuts, chopped

1 tsp

honey or maple syrup, optional

Almond milk to stir in after cooking, optional
