i found this recipe in a british magazine and it sounds divine. this will be on my thanksgiving table

pumpkin soup
2 Ts
butter

onion

garlic clove
1 lb
floury potatoes
2 1/4 cs
pumpkin flesh
2 3/4 cs
vegetable soup
1 c
cream
2 ts
ginger
1/2 t
lemon juice
1 pinch
nutmeg
1 serving
salt and pepper

bacon

sage leaves
1 T
extra virgin olive oil

heat the butter in a sauce pan and fry the onion and garlic

add the potatoes and pumpkin
1 serving
stir in the vegetable stock and cook
1 serving
puree all in a blender
1 serving
add a bit more stock if desired
1 serving
add the ginger
1 serving
fry the bacon in pan in the butter until crisp. remove and drain on paper towel

add the sage to the pan and fry
1 serving
add the bacon and sage to the soup
