¼ cup packed brown sugar

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tsp. minced ginger

¼ tsp. crushed red-pepper flakes (optional)

1/8 tsp. white pepper (optional)

3 green onions (thinly sliced on the diagonal (reserve some for garnish if desired))
