Baked German Pancake with Butter Syrup

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp

butter

large eggs (about 10.5 ounces)

1 cup

milk (I use 2%)

1/2 tsp

vanilla extract

1 cup

all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp

salt

1 cup

granulated sugar

1/2 cup

buttermilk

1/2 cup

butter

1 tsp

vanilla extract

1 tsp

baking soda


NOTES

  • I doubled the recipe amount (except for butter melted in pan) and put it all in a 9x13 pan and cooked it for a total of 25 minutes. It turned out so great! My family loves this recipes for our Sunday breakfasts.

  • I mix about 1/3 of the butter into the batter. A little squeeze of lemon on the pancake as it is fresh out of the oven is a super tasty embellishment.

  • I use 1 tbsp salt. For a twist do 50/50 milk/buttermilk. Shorten cook time for convection.
