firmly packed dark brown sugar

For the Peanut Butter Filling

unsalted butter, softened, cut into ½ inch cubes.

1/2 cup

smooth peanut butter

1/2 cup

plus 2 tablespoons confectioner's sugar (sifted)

vanilla

For the Peanut Butter Vanilla Frosting

1 cup

granulated sugar

1/4 cup

all-purpose flour

1 cup

whole milk

1/4 cup

heavy cream

unsalted butter, cool but not cold, cut into ½ inch cubes
