apple cider (or apple juice concentrate (thawed))

bourbon

1/2 cup

soy sauce

1/4 cup

apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup

dark brown sugar

5 cloves

garlic (grated finely)

1 tbsp

maple syrup

1 tsp

salt

1/4 tsp

red pepper flakes

cayenne pepper (adjust to your tastes or omit completely)
