INGREDIENTS

lbs of fresh okra cut into ½ inch pieces and the ends cut off

2 cups

corn meal (we use gluten free cornmeal)

eggs

1 tbsp

salt

1/2 tbsp

pepper

2 cups

Crisco (yes crisco, this is the real southern recipe, remember??) Enough for approx. 1 inch when melting in your frying pan.
