Hearty and flavorful. We used spicy Italian chicken sausage (we prefer that over pork sausage to cut down on mystery chunks) and used only 1/2 lb, which was perfect. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
This was my first experience with pasta e fagioli (i.e. pasta and beans), and I really liked it! It tastes great, is good for you, is simple to make, and the leftovers are delicious.
I love this soup! Very good with, or without, the noodles! Even better as leftovers.
